MVTec continues to steer a course for international expansion

• Two new sales offices opened in France and Taiwan • Experienced machine vision experts get on board • Even better local support for customers and partners

Munich, January 27, 2021 - MVTec Software GmbH (www.mvtec.com), a leading provider of standard machine vision software, continues to steer a course for international growth despite the current uncertain market situation. The Munich-based company has expanded its global distribution network by opening two new sales offices in France and Taiwan. For many years, MVTec has been represented very successfully in these important markets by its sales partners Stemmer Imaging S.A.S. in France and Photon-Tech Instruments Co., Ltd., in Taiwan. The new offices enable the machine vision provider to further strengthen its on-site presence and provide both customers and local partners with even better support. In staffing these new points of contact, MVTec was able to attract experienced machine vision experts whose extensive market and application knowledge will help ensure successful operation and first-rate service.

Better local customer support
"The two new sales offices impressively confirm our commitment to steering a course for international growth. With a strong local presence, we can work hand in hand with our sales partners to serve our customers even better. This also enables us to address the specific requirements of local markets and customers more precisely," says Martin Krumey, Vice President Sales at MVTec, regarding the further expansion of the distribution network.

How to overcome GNSS limitations with RTK correction services

Although GNSS offers ubiquitous coverage worldwide, its accuracy can be hindered in some situations - signals can be attenuated by heavy vegetation, for example, or obstructed by tall buildings in dense urban canyons. This results in signals being received indirectly or via the multipath effect, leading to inaccuracy, or even blocked entirely. Unimpeded GNSS positioning in all real world scenarios is therefore unrealistic - creating a need for supporting technologies, such as real time kinematic (RTK) positioning and dead reckoning, to enable centimeter-accuracy for newer mass-market IoT devices.
