ONE FLORAL BEGINS LED LIGHTING TRIAL WITH SOLLUM TECHNOLOGIES
SOLLUM’S DYNAMIC LIGHTING SOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE LARGE PROPAGATION COMPANY’S FIRST FORAY INTO LED TECHNOLOGY
Montréal, Québec, Canada, March 19, 2024 One Floral Group's highly regarded greenhouse propagation team will be conducting their first trial with LED grow lights using Sollum®'s smart, fully dynamic LED solution.
For over a decade, in the heart of Canada's greenhouse industry―Leamington, Ontario―One Floral Group has been propagating a variety of flower and vegetable crops distributed to clients across North America. With a particular focus on developing floral solutions, One Floral Group has decided to conduct a trial with LEDs to bring a new level of efficiency in their operations and support the cultivation of an increasing variety of products. With a view to making the most of this trial, they are taking advantage of Sollum's fully dynamic LED lighting solution, which offers the most flexible and efficient solution to grow an unlimited variety of crops using a single technology, and with an unmatched precision in terms of intensity and spectrum.
"As one of Ontario's largest propagators of flower varieties, we feel it is time to take the next step for our business and explore new technologies," says Ryan Selwood, Maintenance Manager for One Floral Group. "This trial with Sollum Technologies will help us determine if dynamic LED lighting is the right one for us. We are accustomed to having a more basic lighting system but as we grow our business of tailored floral solutions and navigate changes in our climate, we need a technology that can handle any changes we see fit. In addition, we feel that Sollum's user-friendly SUNaaS® platform will help make the transition to a more advanced solution simpler for our team. "
"Sollum has a solution for any grower, whether that be a seasoned expert with LED grow lights or a company looking to make the change from HPS," says Kassim Tremblay, Vice President of Global Sales Operations for Sollum Technologies. "We are excited to provide not only our unique lighting solution to One Floral Group, but to also guide them as they try out the full capabilities of our technology including our light recipe catalog or the development of custom recipes, and our multi-zone light management tools included with the SUNaaS platform. We are committed to supporting their transition to ensure a successful trial."
