The movement for healthy, sustainable food production is spreading across the world, and Samsung is committed to driving innovation in this area.

Back to Basics Soil Fertility Part 2: Phosphate

We will discuss Phosphate today as it is the nutrient that I fear is most deficient on farms across the Canadian prairies and the northern Great Plains area of the US.

Automation: The Final Frontier of Vertical Farming

Already, urban dwellers around the world are enjoying freshly harvested produce grown locally on spare rooftops, in old shipping containers, and in repurposed warehouses. These farms provide tremendous benefits to consumers and producers...

Indoor Farming Technology

Enclosed facilities used in indoor farming create optimum growing conditions for farmers to grow a crop from the seed to its harvesting stages in lesser time and obtain higher yields in each cycle with limited land area.

Vision and Viability in Agtech

While there may not be as many people trying to 'build their own' as in 2017, the heavy investment in AgTech is sparking a round of products and inventions that will never be viable because they lack a vision and connection to the farmer from day one.

Precision Indoor Plants (PIP) Consortium to Revolutionize Agriculture

First-of-its-Kind Consortium Develops Crops Intended for Indoor Agriculture

Back to Basics Soil Fertility Part 1

I see a lot of information being thrown your way - some factual, some based on speculation, and some science fiction. What I hope to be able to do is give you some background information so that you can reasonably detect which pile to file the information in.

How to overcome GNSS limitations with RTK correction services

How to overcome GNSS limitations with RTK correction services

Although GNSS offers ubiquitous coverage worldwide, its accuracy can be hindered in some situations - signals can be attenuated by heavy vegetation, for example, or obstructed by tall buildings in dense urban canyons. This results in signals being received indirectly or via the multipath effect, leading to inaccuracy, or even blocked entirely. Unimpeded GNSS positioning in all real world scenarios is therefore unrealistic - creating a need for supporting technologies, such as real time kinematic (RTK) positioning and dead reckoning, to enable centimeter-accuracy for newer mass-market IoT devices.
